Gia is a fourth year graduate student in clinical psychology at UCLA. Her research focuses on improving evidence-based PTSD interventions for intersectional minority populations. Gia is particularly interested in how socio-environmental stressors influence treatment utilization, engagement, and clinical outcomes. Before coming to UCLA, Gia worked as a research assistant at Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago wherein she had the opportunity to work on a range of research studies focused on LGBTQ+ mental health. She graduated from DePaul University in 2017 with a BA in psychology and a minor in gender studies. In her free time Gia enjoys cooking, reading, horseback riding, and trying new restaurants in LA!
