Eva is a PhD student in the Microbiology, Virology and Parasitology Program at the University of Pennsylvania and works in a lab at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Her research interests include infectious disease, host-pathogen interactions, and microbial pathogenesis. Prior to graduate school, Eva conducted microbiology research across various academic and government institutions including the National Institutes of Health, the University of Maryland, and the Food and Drug Administration. Eva is originally from Maryland and earned her BS in biological sciences and minor in history from the University of Maryland. Outside of the lab, she enjoys to sing, bake (and eat) yummy treats, watch movies, and listen to podcasts, audiobooks, and music.
