Esther grew up in metro Atlanta until she decided to attend Syracuse University in upstate NY to obtain a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biochemistry. She then took a gap year to work as a research technician at a structural biochemistry lab at Emory University. She is currently a 2nd year Ph.D. student in the Program of Molecular Biophysics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Currently, she is conducting research on ribosome and RNA quality control mechanisms. In her spare time, when she is not in the lab, she loves to explore new local businesses throughout her new home of Baltimore.
