Eric is a dual doctoral student in Clinical Psychology and Neuroscience at Indiana University Bloomington (IU). He is a member of the Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience Center, focusing his research on the bidirectional interactions between substance use, trauma exposure, and stress responsivity using methods including psychophysiology, fMRI, and distress tolerance tasks. Before starting graduate school at IU (and after a research-oriented gap year in Indianapolis), Eric obtained his undergraduate degree from IU and completed an honors thesis studying the biological stress response in frequent cannabis users using salivary measures of circulating stress-related hormones. Outside of the lab, Eric likes to follow baseball (Go Cubs Go!), spend time with his German Shepherd/Pit Bull mix Ares, and ride his bike around Bloomington.
