In 2018, Emily graduated from Cornell University, where she earned her BS in Human Development with minors in Policy Analysis and Management, Psychology, and Gerontology. She then worked as a postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) fellow at the National Institute of Health. Currently, Emily is a second year Clinical Science PhD student at the University of California, Berkeley, where her research focuses on the impact and trajectory of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), particularly as related to adolescent development, identity, and emotion regulation.
