Ellie received her BA in Physics from Northwestern University, and is currently a PhD candidate at Stanford University in the Prakash Lab. Her research is focused on understanding plankton behavior at the single-cell level. To do this, she uses a combination of observation through microscopy, tool development, and physical models. In her spare time, Ellie loves to hike, play basketball, and spend time with her cat!
