Daniel is a Neuroscience Ph.D. Student at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He recently joined the lab of Dr. Brian Polster, where he studies the relationship between mitochondrial dysfunction and the induction of neuroinflammation. Daniel previously attended Drexel University as a dual B.S./M.S. student where he studied the role of glial cell polarization in driving chronic pain following spinal cord injury. Outside of the lab, Daniel enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking, and trying as many new restaurants and foods as he possibly can.
