Corey is a postdoctoral fellow at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. She completed her BA in Chemistry & Chemical Biology at Cornell University with a year at the University of Oxford. She earned her PhD in Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she also played on the women's club soccer team. She has had an eclectic array of research experiences that luckily involved many supportive mentors. Her research probes the mechanisms by which inorganic and biological systems generate energy from abundant chemicals. Corey was born and raised in NYC and is extremely opinionated about food. She enjoys playing soccer, biking, reading and making desserts.
