Chloe Lau is a fourth year PhD student in clinical psychology at Western University funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada Joseph Armand Bombardier Masters and Doctoral Award. She was also a recipient of the ThinkSwiss Scholarship, the Canada Graduate Scholarship Michael Smith Foreign Supplement, the Mitacs Globalink Opportunities Award, and the Mary Ann Underwood Global Opportunities Award to conduct international research studies with Professor Dr. Ruch and Dr. Hofmann at the University of Zurich and Professor Dr. Chiesi at the University of Florence. As a PhD candidate from a first-generation immigrant household, she aims to provide mentorship for students combatting socioeconomic and systemic inequalities.
