Bruna Dalmas is a first-generation student who is currently in the first year of her Ph.D. program in Political Science at the University of Missouri. She hails from Brazil and is proficient in Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French. Her research is focused on political violence in the Latin American region, where she seeks to understand the impacts of corruption and police violence on the daily lives of the lower classes and the development of public policies. In the future, she plans to conduct a comparative study involving fieldwork in two countries: Brazil and Mexico. As for hobbies, she is passionate about cinema and music. Additionally, she has three cats who have also migrated to the United States.
