He/him/his

Arshad is a postdoctoral research associate at the Atmospheric Sciences Research Center at UAlbany. He received his BS-MS (2015) from IISER Pune (India), where the freedom to explore interdisciplinary spaces while setting a strong foundation in physics eventually led him to a PhD in the Atmospheric Sciences (2021) from UAlbany. Arshad tries to unravel physicochemical processes in the atmosphere with the aid of mathematics and computer science and explores interactions with the biosphere (including human health). These toward furthering our collective understanding of climate change: the gravest and most immediate moral and societal challenge humanity faces. His journey into and through graduate school would have been impossible alone; he hopes to be your ally through Project SHORT. Arshad understands that broadened participation of historically underrepresented and socioeconomically disadvantaged groups will only enrich the atmospheric and physical sciences.
