She/her/hers

Amanda is pursuing a Ph.D. in the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute at the University of California, Berkeley in the CognAc lab run by Rich Ivry. Her research explores the computational processes that the cerebellum performs during cognitive tasks, particularly with language. Using fMRI and computational modeling, she studies how the human cerebellum responds across time as compared to the cerebral cortex while passively listening to podcasts. Before her Ph.D., Amanda received her B.S in Neuroscience and Behavior at the University of New Hampshire and completed a research assistant position in the lab of Alexander Huth at the University of Texas at Austin. In her free time, Amanda enjoys running and knitting.
