Alyssa is a PhD student in Biomedical Sciences at UC San Diego. She received her B.A in Biology and Society (2018) and her M.Eng in Biomedical Engineering (2019) from Cornell University, where she first found a passion for research and scientific discovery. Her current research focuses on applying genomic and screening technologies to understand how therapeutics and genetic variants can interact to cause cardiac arrhythmia. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys hiking, trying new food, and spending time with her dog, Kona.
