Alisha is currently a post-doctoral fellow (Trauma/PTSD) at Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Denver, CO. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology (Forensic) from Drexel University and a BS in Human Development from Cornell University. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a Research Associate at NYU/Bellevue Hospital Center in Manhattan, NY on a clinical trial examining medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder. Alisha's research interests and clinical work focuses on the intersection of trauma exposure and justice-involvement, with an emphasis on the evidence-based treatment of underserved and diverse Veteran populations. In her spare time, Alisha enjoys traveling, photography, and waiting patiently for her cat to pay attention to her.
