Alex Ng is a Behavioral Neuroscience PhD candidate in the Christianson Lab at Boston College. She studies the neural underpinnings of social-decision making, focusing specifically on the role of the insular cortex in social and anxiety-related behaviors. Before grad school, Alex graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY in 2019 and then worked as a research technician at Boston College. Her undergrad research focused on PTSD and the effect of chronic alcohol consumption on the expression of fear memories. Outside the lab, Alex likes to bake, run, try new Trader Joe’s products, and perfect her pour-over coffee technique.
