Megan grew up on a farm in Ohio before attending Allegheny College and earning her B.S. in Biochemsitry. After undergrad, she completed a post-bacc fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine before matriculating into the Pitt-CMU MD/PhD program. Her PhD research is focused on characterizing neural plasticity after hearing loss and using this knowledge to improve diagnostics and treatment options in ENT. She cares deeply about improving disability representation in science and medicine and loves working with her mentees to help support them and cheer them on through the application process!
